The Uruguayan has had one of his best-ever games for Barcelona. His multiple clearances were crucial to Barca securing a positive result. He perfectly covered for Andreas Christensen too at times.

Frenkie de Jong - 8.5/10

Great performance from the Dutchman whose passing was absolutely brilliant in the first half. Frenkie slowed things down a bit after the break, yet he still ended up being one of the best performers.

Pedri - 8/10

The young magician was doing great things on the pitch and scored a fabulous winner; his poor headed back pass - that almost led to Villarreal's goal - was perhaps the only negative thing about his outing tonight.

Robert Lewandowski - 5.5/10

The Pole's shooting was bang average tonight. The striker was great in link-up play but his finishing was really nothing to report. Hoping to see him in top form again.

Raphinha - 5/10

The Brazilian slightly contributed to Barca's match winner but didn't look sharp most of the time. He had a great chance to make it 2-0 in the second half but missed the target.
