'They are very much in with a chance': Roy Keane backs Man United to challenge for the title

Speaking on Sky Sports, Roy Keane said: "Obviously, Arsenal and Manchester City are ahead of them but what Manchester United have to do, if any of the teams above them slip up, they have to be ready to pounce.

"They won against Leeds United on Sunday and they have to keep the pressure on Man City. Considering a disastrous start against Brighton and Brentford, to be where they are now, I'd say they are very much in with a chance.

"Man United have to keep doing what they are doing winning football matches. Yes, you can slip up the odd time, but they couldn't afford to slip up at Leeds. Eventually, their quality did show, particularly the first goal, it was brilliant."

Man United find themselves in third place in the Premier League table as they aim to keep up the pressure and league leaders Arsenal and Man City.

Erik ten Hag is not actually expected to compete for the title this season with the Dutchman tasked with bringing back Champions League football.
