'There’s no question': Rio Ferdinand picks 'world's best goalkeeper' between Ederson and Alisson

“I think Ederson, with his feet, there’s no question, he’s the best in the world for me. But Alisson, he’s a big moment player,” Rio Ferdinand said on his YouTube channel.

“Alisson. He probably gets you more points in a season, that’s the only reason," Ferdinand adds.

Alisson has saved Liverpool on multiple occasions this season despite their poor form. The Brazilian has made 69 saves for the Reds this term.

Manchester City's Ederson (33 saves) is not among the top five goalies in the Premier League so far this season. However, one could argue that a team like Man City do not allow that many shots against them.

When when we look at clean sheets this season, Alisson (6) is not in the top five best goalies in the league this season. Ederson makes it in with 8 shutouts.
