Romelu Lukaku's stance on Chelsea return revealed amid frustrating Inter loan

Romelu Lukaku has 'no intention of returning' to Chelsea even despite his difficult loan spell at Inter Milan, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Belgian has struggled to keep fit throughout this campaign. The 29-year-old has only started seven games across all competitions for Inter, appearing in a total of 17 matches.

Lukaku is showing signs of turning it around, however, as he has scored in two consecutive games, including the winning goal against Porto in the Champions League.

The striker still wants to stay at inter beyond this season and has no desire to return to England that is 'no longer a beloved land' for him due to too many disappointments and broken promises there.

Chelsea signed Lukaku in 2021 for a club-record €113m fee. He scored 15 goals in one season but had a tumultuous relationship with then-head coach Thomas Tuchel and fell out of favour as he expressed a desire to return to Italy.
