Revealed: Reason behind Rashford and Sancho improvement this season

Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho have both been able to turn around their fortunes on the field this season thanks to the individual training they got from Benni McCarthy, reports the Daily Mail.

The former Premier League striker was recruited by Erik ten Hag as part of his coaching set-up last summer.

Benni reportedly had several trial sessions before being finalised for the job and he didn't even ask about his salary once in that time.

After seeing the massive improvement in Rashy this season, Sancho is believed to have requested one-on-one sessions with Benni after he returned from a foreign training camp.

And now, the results are there for all to see, with both Rashford and Sancho returning among the goals again.

At the start of the season, McCarthy told MUTV: "[I want to] help these young players, push them, change their mindset and really try to make the difference to United this season."

Indeed, Benni is achieving what he set out to do as seen in the cases of Manchester United's attacking duo.
