Real Madrid fail to beat Atletico despite controversial red card
Good news for Barcelona as the derby between Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid at Santiago Bernabeu ended in a 1-1 draw.
The Rojiblancos, already one man down, opened the score through Jose Maria Gimenez before Alvaro Rodriguez levelled the score following a corner kick.
By the way, the red card Atletico received was laughable... While Angel Correa did elbow Antonio Rudiger, this would've been a yellow card at most if the teams were reversed.
Have a look.
For Barca, this means that they can get 10 points ahead of Real Madrid. However, they need to beat Almeria away first.
