Qatari investors preparing to make bid for Man United within days

As per Mike Keegan, a group of Qatari investors are expected to place their bid for the sale of Manchester United within the coming days.

The Qatari investors are not likely to be from the Qatar Sports Investment group. QSI owns PSG and one entity cannot own two clubs in the same competition. Man United look likely to finish in the top-four making that scenario problematic.

Instead, it is is expected to be a group of private, high-wealth individuals based in the oil-rich state of Qatar.

The Glazers are reported to be looking for at least £6 billion for selling the club and the Qatari bid would have more than sufficient funds to afford that.

Another major investment in the buying of the club would be the redevelopment of Old Trafford which is expected to be affordable for the bidders as well.

Their main contender is likely to be Sir Jim Ratcliffe, a childhood Man United fan and Britian's richest man, who was the first to publicly announce his interest in buying the club.
