Potter told to 'put on his tin hat and fight through it' by Chelsea board

The Chelsea owners are backing Graham Potter to get the club out of the difficult situation, claims The Telegraph.

Co-owners Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali have a preferred plan when it comes to the English gaffer.

The two are hoping to allow Potter to complete this season and then be in charge of Chelsea for the entirety of the 2023/24 season before making further evaluations on him.

As per a senior source close to the club, this is the message Potter has been given by the board: ‘The message to Graham has been to put on his tin hat and fight through it.”

Boehly is expected to attend the game against Tottenham Hotspur at the weekend – while Eghbali will be in the stands for the next two ones after that.

The co-owners are also hoping that Potter can change the opinions of his biggest critics by improving Chelsea’s performances and starting to win matches.
