Former Chelsea midfielder Mikel John Obi revealed Roman Abramovich's no-nonsense approach as Chelsea owner which often ended in the sacking of any underperforming manager.
Speaking to Dubaieye1038 FM Mikel said: "We always had a meeting with Roman when the team is not doing well. He comes in and then he has a chat with us.
"He sits down and everyone sits down. He has this guy, his friend, who's the interpreter, and then he starts screaming and shouting in Russian. And then the guy interprets in English.
"He says 'you guys go back now and play football and start winning'. If we are still not doing that, the next time he comes in, he flies in with his helicopter and that's it. We know that the manager is gone!
"Two strikes and you're out. Once he flies in with his helicopter the manager is gone. You knew," Mikel said.
Abramovich hired and fired 15 managers for Chelsea during his 20 years as the club owner. His last manager was Thomas Tuchel who was sacked by the new owners and replaced with Graham Potter.
Chelsea have so far won 6 and lost 8 from their last 20 games. It's almost a given that Potter wouldn't have survived this long under Abramovich.
