Chelsea fan Joe Tweedie shared his thoughts on Chelsea's defeat to Spurs on Sunday and said that backing Potter might be nonsensical.
"We didn't turn up. At all. Seven days of preparation (where you've given the players three days rest) to produce another turgid and insipid performance. Pointless possession. Zero threat.
"There isn't a single improvement since the Southampton loss. What are we doing?
"It's all well and good wanting a long-term coach, but backing mediocrity "just because" is nonsensical. We're getting progressively worse. Nothing is being built. There aren't any marginal improvements being made. Team selections are odd (at best). It's genuinely rubbish.
"With every loss, the confidence in this group drains further. Whenever they go behind, heads drop. The initial tactics aren't creative or producing goals. There's no conviction. We've stopped pressing. We play with zero energy. This is snowballing & damaging for a young group."
