Nigerian legend tips Osimhen to win African Player of the Year Award
Former Nigerian International, Mutiu Adepoju has tipped Super Eagles star Victor Osimhen to be named the next African player of the year.
Osimhen has been in fantastic form this season for Napoli where he has scored 17 goals in 18 appearances so far in Serie A.
The young striker's goalscoring exploits have now led to Adepoju making the bold claim that Osimhen should be named CAF African player of the year.

Adepoju's bold assertion was made in an interview with Brila FM where he claimed that Osimhen is the best player in Africa at the moment.
“Nobody is at the level he is now, and I believe he still has time ahead to do more,” Adepoju said emphatically in response to a question on whether Osimhen is the best player on the continent.
The 52-year-old further emphasized his point by stating that Osimhen is the favourite to win the prestigious award as it stands.
"If now was the moment to pick the African best player, he will win it easily,” the former Real Sociedad star said.
Adepoju played for Nigeria between 1990 and 2002, playing 48 games and scoring six goals for the Super Eagles.
