Mykhailo Mudryk subbed off just 45 minutes following a poor first half against Fulham
Mudryk was one of Graham Potter's many transfers in January, as Chelsea spent more than several of Europe's biggest leagues.
The Ukraine forward had been expected to move to Arsenal for the months and months leading up to his move to Stamford Bridge, with Potter's side swooping in.
It looked like the Gunners might live to regret missing out on Mudryk, when he made a cameo off the bench for his debut in a draw against Liverpool.
On Friday night, the Blues hosted west London rivals Fulham, having lost to them in reverse fixture just a few weeks ago for Joao Felix's nightmare debut.
Potter would have been hoping for no more disasterclasses from new boys, especially with new British record signing Enzo Fernandez starting.
However, after a very poor opening 45 minutes, Mudryk did not reappear for the second half, being replaced by another January arrival, Noni Madueke, after the break.
"Mudryk heading off at HT so that he can get some rest ahead of watching his beloved Arsenal tomorrow morning," ODDSbible joked.
"Mudryk hooked at halftime. Lmao. €100 million only to be hooked at halftime. His head is probably at Arsenal that lad. He's off to stalk Arsenal players on Instagram," one fan said, echoing similar sentiments.
Commenting on the reaction Antony gets, a Manchester United fan posted, "I expect a week's worth of talkSPORT videos mercilessly slating Mykhaylo Mudryk for that first-half display.
"Not that that's acceptable (it isn't). But I'd hate to think their standards were different for another club's young, £80m+ winger..."
An Arsenal fan also defended his own side's attacker, adding, "I owe you an apology Martinelli for thinking Mudryk will start ahead of him."
