Man Utd Iconic stadium Old Trafford could be demolished if Qatari investors complete takeover

As per Daily Mail, included in £6 billion Man United takeover would be more than £2 billion to "redevelop Old Trafford, or knock down the iconic venue and build a new state-of-the-art facility."

Rival fans have often mocked United supporters for their protests against the Glazers, due to the amount of money that has been spent on transfers.

However, it has often been ignored how badly the facilities at Old Trafford and the club's Carrington training ground have got over the years.

Inability to improve the stadium has seen their rivals overtake them, especially those such as Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur who have newer stadiums, with even Manchester City and Liverpool getting recent upgrades.

Because of the train track behind the stadium, certain parts of it are difficult to extend or improve, which is why Gary Neville revealed he'd be behind the club knocking the ground down.

There is one change due at the ground in the near future, with the club having confirmed that they are removing a bunch of corporate seats from the Stretford End.

Certainly there could be a lot more drastic changes coming to the club in the near future, if the Qataris do manage to reach the Glazers' asking price.
