Man Utd 2 - 1 C, Palace: Martinez – 9, Casemiro – 4: rating United players in Crystal Palace win
Lisandro Martinez -- 9
A major reason behind helping Man United get the win after going down to 10 men. Showcased amazing fearlessness under pressure and made a number of remarkable goal-saving challenges – including a block in the 81st minute. Made 7 ball recoveries, 5 clearances and one tackle in a solid showing.
Bruno Fernandes – 8
The United captain helped his side get an early lead, scoring the penalty with utter conviction. At the heart of a lot of United’s good work after that, creating four major chances and moving the ball into the final third impressively.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka – 7.5
Always diligent in charging forward with the ball, getting into some nice attacking areas to help his team create chances. Defensively rock solid again, making 3 interceptions, 2 tackles and winning 3/6 ground duels.
Marcus Rashford – 7
Rashford had a frustrating first half, getting into some promising areas but seeing his shots go well wide. Ended up scoring after moving to a no.9 role, smartly slotting Shaw’s pass into the goal.
Antony – 6.5
Better in getting the ball away from his feet better and made some dazzling runs into the final third too. His shots were quite non-threatening – while the winger also failed to create any major chances.
Casemiro – 4
Casemiro was bossing the game and helping United dominate the proceedings during his period on the pitch. Then got unnecessarily involved in a brawl and foolishly grabbed Will Hughes’ throat with his hands – getting him sent off and ruining all his good work.
