Man UTD 2-1 Barcelona: Raphinha and Kounde 2: rating Barca players in Man United loss

Alejandro Balde - 8

One of the few good performers across both halves tonight, Balde was solid in both attack and defence tonight. The Barcelona left-back won the penalty that allowed us to open the score and then looked solid throughout the whole game.

Franck Kessie - 5

Fans will complain that Kessie doesn't get enough chances, but when he does, the Ivorian shows that he doesn't offer the same intensity, control and creativity that the younger midfielders at the club possess.

Sergi Roberto - 5

The inverted left winger tonight, Roberto was good in the first 45 minutes but completely flopped after the break. Sergi contributed to the build up and control but he lacks the physicality for the modern game.

Jules Kounde - 2

The Frenchman was the weak link in our defence tonight. Kounde was outclassed by Manchester United's wingers on multiple occasions, as he won only 5/12 grounds duels and was dribbled past 4 times. In addition, Jules added nothing to the attack.

Both of the goals started from his zone. Tonight, Kounde didn't look interested in playing football.

Raphinha - 2

Two shots off target, no key passes and only 1/4 dribble completed. Raphinha was also poor in attack as the second goal was a result of him losing his duels on the flank.

It seems like the Brazilian is good only against weaker teams.
