Man City star Erling Haaland reportedly unhappy with Pep Guardiola

According to Spanish news outlet Nacional, the 22-year-old has a rocky relationship with the Spaniard, which could end up leading to his departure. 

The report in question alleges that cracks are beginning to appear in the Man City dressing room, with some of the squad accusing Haaland of being responsible for the hostile dressing room atmosphere at present. 

While the validity of this statement remains to be seen, there’s no denying that something is up with City at the moment. 

Nacional also claims that Haaland’s relationship with Guardiola is ‘very distant’ and that the Norwegian has become disillusioned with Pep’s proposed style of play. 

“No matter how many goals he [Haaland] scores, the reality is that he rarely comes into contact with the ball throughout the 90 minutes,” the report stresses.

“This could end up triggering an insurmountable divorce with Guardiola, and his consequent departure.”
