Madueke: 'I'm not gonna pretend I've supported Chelsea my whole life ... But I do now'
“As I started playing football when I was so young, I didn't support a particular club. I'm not gonna pretend I've supported Chelsea my whole life, because that'd be lying. But I do now, because I'm gonna play for the badge,” the Blues' new signing Noni Madueke told the club's official website.
“I'm gonna add dynamism and excitement to this side, and I will get the fans off their seats. I look to be free and take players on, beat players when dribbling, create and score goals.”
“I'm very confident in my own ability and hopefully my goals and assists can contribute to team wins, because I wanna win. I want to win trophies. I want to win big matches, the lot. We are Chelsea.”
Madueke grew up in north London and attended Palace and Tottenham academies before moving to PSV at the age of 16.
He broke into PSV's starting XI during the 2020-21 season and moved to Chelsea in January this year on a €33m fee. He made his Blues debut against Fulham last week, showing a lof of promise.
