Madueke and Enzo shines but Chelsea remain "Toothless" as they draw with Fulham
Chelsea were forced to settle for a point in a 0-0 draw in the west London derby against Fulham which was more exciting for fans at Stamford Bridge as they got to see their new signings in action than for the result.
Among those in the starting line-up were Benoit Badiashile, who arrived early in January, Enzo Fernandez, who signed on deadline day, and Mykhaylo Mudryk, who was making his first start after coming on as a substitute against Liverpool.
Despite the big names on the field, Chelsea were unable to secure the three points as both teams had chances to break the deadlock but failed to do so and settled for a point.
Arguably the best chance of the game fell to Kai Havertz early in the first half, when Thiago Silva fed him in with a long bal over the top, but the German couldn't beat Bernd Leno one on one.
The Fulham goalkeeper dived to make a save with his legs and only minutes later it was Kepa in action at the other end, with Andreas Pereira sending a rocket of a shot towards the bottom corner for Kepa to deny.
The best chance of all came to Chelsea as David Fofana reacted quickest as he beat Leno to a loose ball, and he beat the goalkeeper as he took the ball round him.
It wasn't enough though, and USMNT international Tim Ream got back to clear the ball off the line just inches away from giving Chelsea a late winner.
The draw means that Fulham sit in sixth in the Premier League, three places ahead of Chelsea, with a two-point advantage after 22 games played, though Chelsea have only played 21 matches.
