Laporta addresses Barca fans amid referee scandal, hints that timing of allegations 'is no coincidence

Earlier yesterday, Que T’hi Jugues made a huge revelation when they claimed that Barcelona paid around 1.4 million euros to a former Vice President of the Referees committee, Enriquez Negreira, between 2016 and 2018.

Clearly, Joan Laporta has spoken up on the matter, saying: "Culés, it’s no coincidence that this information comes out now, when Barca is doing well. We reserve all the necessary actions to defend the honor of FC Barcelona.”

“Barça has in the past contracted the services of an external consultant to obtain reports for lower division players and for refereeing advice, a service hired by other Spanish clubs too.
