Kylian Mbappe to Miss PSG Champions League clash against Bayern Munich with Knee Injury
Kylian Mbappe will miss PSG’s Champions League tie against Bayern Munich after sustaining a knee injury in French Ligue 1 matchday 21 clash against Montpellier.
The win came at a very severe cost to the Ligue 1 champions. Two highly-rated stars in the attack and defense departments – Sergio Ramos and Kylian Mbappe, suffered excruciating injuries that saw them subbed off in the first half.
PSG have however confirmed World Cup golden boot winner Mbappe will be sidelined for three weeks following the knee injury therefore will miss the UCL encounter against Bundesliga side Bayern Munich.
PSG’s statement confirming Mbappe’s injury reads:
“After undergoing tests, Kylian Mbappé suffered an injury to the left thigh at the level of the femoral biceps. He is expected to be out of action for three weeks.”
PSG take on Bayern Munich on February 14 in the French capital before going away to Germany in Allianz Arena for the return leg on March 8.
