'I'm enjoying it': Varane reveals secret behind form and fitness this season

“It’s true that, so far this season, I’ve been selected to start in a lot of matches compared to last season,” Raphael Varane told Premier League Productions, via the official Manchester United website.

“Which allows me to get settled and to share my experience and positional know-how, to have a bearing on the rhythm of each match, when we’re playing well or not so well.

“But I always try to guide and assist my team-mates in defence and I’m really enjoying my match time.

“I love playing, and I was saying the very same thing just the other day to Casemiro. There’s something really special going on here, a real buzz about the place and emotions are running high. I’m really glad that I’ve integrated into the team and to my life over here so well.”

Varane has made 17 appearances in the league this season. He has appeared once each in the Europa League, FA Cup and Carabao Cup.
