How would you react if United became a state-owned club like PSG?

Manchester United owners have reportedly set a mid-February deadline for bidders attempting to buy the club.

Jim Ratcliffe, Britain's richest man, was the first to publicly state his interest in buying the club but now reports suggest that a Qatari group will also submit a bid in the coming days.

As per the report, the new investors from Qatar won't be a part of the Qatar Sports Investments (QSI) group that owns PSG as the same entity cannot own two clubs in the same competition (likely to be UCL depending on Man United's qualification).

Man United fan from Qatar provided some insight into who will actually be in control of the club if a consortium from Qatar does take over:

garynevilleisared: "Having lived in Qatar I can tell you this. I don't believe for one second that the investment will come from a different group because they will all be tied to the royal family.

"Even if they have a different name, different people involved, they'll still be doing the bidding of the Emir. People like Al-Khelaifi get their roles from him and his family directly, he was made chairman of QSI just before they went in for PSG.

"So whoever takes on this bid will also be a proxy of the ruler of Qatar. So is that really a different entity? Technically, yes? But operationally, I know it won't be."
