"He needs to generate more in attack: Xavi sends message to Raphinha after Dembele injury

With Ousmane Dembele out with an injury, Raphinha is set to get more playing time at Barcelona. In the presser ahead of the Real Betis match, Xavi was asked to send a message to the Brazilian.

"He needs to generate more in attack, just like the rest of the team, he needs to risk more and be more decisive in the final third. Not only Rafa, the rest of the team too. We generated fewer chances than normal against Girona, we lack courage up front and need that final pass," the coach said.

"Rafa will be important, I have great confidence in him and believe that he will make the difference. He has got four goals and seven or eight assists, these are not bad numbers. I hope he continues like this because we trust him."

Raphinha has started in just 11 of the possible 29 games this season. He is sure to get more opportunities in the coming weeks though.
