'He knows he's in debt to us': Inter director breaks silence on Romelu Lukaku's future

Speaking to TuttoMercatoWeb, Inter Milan director Piero Ausilio said: "I've seen Romelu Lukaku, he's doing well. He's improving training after training, game after game.

"He just wants to show everything he has to give. He knows very well he's in debt to us, not so much because it's a will that he had, but how much because it's an injury that kept him away, which was honestly heavy.

"As for his desire, his determination, what I'm seeing these days makes me feel calm because I'm sure he'll do a last part of the season, especially the most important part, up to par and which will give us satisfaction."

Lukaku's return to Inter on has not gone according to plan with the Belgian striker scoring just three goals in 13 games so far this season due to several injuries.

The 29-year-old is set to return back to Chelsea in the summer but the Serie A side are exploring an option of signing the player on a permanent transfer.
