Full list of injured senior players at Real Madrid and expected return dates
Real Madrid are currently bedevilled with a series of injuries to some of their key players. It's probably why Los Blancos dropped three points at the weekend against a provocative Mallorca side.
Here's a full list of all the injured Real Madrid senior players and their expected return dates.
1. Eder Militao (Hamstring): The defender picked up the injury in the win against Valencia. He is likely to miss the Club World Cup.
Expected return date: 18th February
2. Feland Mendy (Hamstring): The left-back suffered the injury in the Super Cup game against Atletico Madrid last month. It is likely that he misses the Champions League clash against Liverpool.
Expected return date: 2nd March
3. Lucas Vazquez (Ankle): The Spaniard has been suffering a foot injury for nearly two weeks now. Early diagnosis ruled him for a month.
Expected return date: 12th March
4. Thibaut Courtois (Muscle): The big goalkeeper suffered an abductor injury on Sunday before the game against Mallorca. The problem has ruled out him for the Club World Cup.
Expected return date: 21 February
5. Karim Benzema (Muscle): The striker pulled a muscle during the win against Valencia. However, the problem is not serious enough to rule him out completely from the Club World Cup.
Expected return date: 11th February (for possible Club World Cup final)
6. Eden Hazard (Knee): The forward is injured again with a diagnosis showing he has a patellar tendinosis in his left knee. As it stands Hazard is no longer an important player for Real Madrid but he's still the team's highest earner.
Expected return date: 10th March
