'Football is a mental game': Alisson believes Liverpool can bounce back after recent injury boost
Alisson Becker firmly believes that Liverpool can turn things around following the full recovery of Van Dijk, Diogo Jota, Arthur and Roberto Firmino ahead of the Merseyside derby.
"Their return will help the team with the confidence and the personality of these players," Alisson said.
"Football is a mental game as well [and you need these big characters]," Alisson adds.
Liverpool have been hit with injuries to some of the big leaders in the squad since the new year. The injuries have coincided with a shocking drop in form that has seen the Reds win just one of their last six matches while losing three of those.
However, Jota is fully fit and could start against Everton on Sunday. The other aforementioned players could make the bench depending on Jurgen Klopp's decision.
Liverpool are not out of the woods yet with regard to injuries, Ibrahima Konate, Thiago Alcantara and Luis Diaz are still a few weeks from full recovery.
