'Final opportunity': Pep Guardiola sends message to his players ahead of Arsenal clash

Speaking to the media ahead of the Arsenal game, Pep Guardiola said: "We had in general a really good game against Aston Villa.

"We could press higher and better, but we adjusted something in the second half. The second half was better than the first one.

"Unfortunately we concede a goal again from a mistake. But in general every set piece we have the feeling that we score and in general it was a really good game.

"And I'm happy for that. The people were behind us and that's why it's important to take this final opportunity to close the gap on Arsenal."

Manchester City beat Aston Villa 3–0 in the Premier League at home at the weekend ahead of the massive trip to Arsenal on Wednesday night.

Guardiola's men are now just three points behind the Gunners in the top-flight table and the midweek clash could decide the 2022/23 title race.
