Eliminated 4 times in 15 months - Xavi's atrocious record in European competitions

As Fran Martinez of Relevo reports, Xavi's Barcelona has been eliminated four times in the last 442 days from European competition, twice from the Champions League and twice from Europa League.

Last season, the Catalans finished third in their Champions League group and would go on to lose to Eintracht Frankfurt at home in the quarterfinals of the Europa League.

This year, after finishing third in the UCL again, they were beaten by Manchester United in the knockout phase.

Opta adds that Barca has won just one of their last 15 matches against clubs from the top 5 leagues in European competitions, adding five draws and nine losses to the record.
