Cristiano Ronaldo pays eye-watering bill after leaving Saudi Arabia hotel for permanent home
Cristiano Ronaldo has been left with an eye-watering bill after checking out of his hotel for a permanent home in Saudi Arabia.
After his second stint with Manchester United ended bitterly, it was announced in January that Ronaldo had signed for Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr.
Since moving to the Middle East with his family, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner has been residing in the Four Seasons hotel in Riyadh.
According to reports, Ronaldo was paying £250,000 per month to rent 17 rooms across two floors, which housed him, his family and his entourage.
One source told The Mirror: “Cristiano and his family have left the hotel they were in.”
It has been reported that Ronaldo is now living in an exclusive compound with a huge security presence and easy access to restaurants, shops, gyms and other amenities.
It is believed that Ronaldo was eyeing a move to Al Muhammadiyah, which is one of the premier areas in the whole of Saudi Arabia. Another area that the Portuguese legend was considering was Al Nakheel, which has the best schools for his children.
Since joining Al Nassr, Ronaldo has so far scored eight and assisted two in five appearances, his side currently sit top of the Saudi Professional League and are hoping to win the league for the first time since 2019.
The 37-year-old has also inspired his teammates to change their diets in order to improve their football.
Club nutritionist Jose Blesa told Ideal: “Cristiano helps me a lot, because we can no longer teach him anything, but he creates a school around him. The rest of the players do what he does because everything he does is wonderful to improve his performance.
“Since he has been here, all the players have trained more intensely and followed a stricter diet.
“I have not seen a club like this in which the players improve practically 90 per cent in their body composition every time I see them: they have less fat, more muscle and they do all the exercises at their fingertips. It is a luxury to work there.”
