Chelsea ‘fail to make breakthrough’ in Mount contract talks - officials develop fear over him

Chelsea have not been able to make any kind of breakthrough in contract talks with Mason Mount, claims The Telegraph’s Mike McGrath.

The Englishman is not pleased with the offer that the Blues are giving him and refusing to agree on the current terms.

Some Chelsea officials are now resigned to the possibility that Mount might not want to sign up for their project going forward.

The Blues will need to make a decision on him in the summer if they are unable to secure an agreement by then.

Mount is attracting interest from clubs like Liverpool, but it remains to be seen if Chelsea will be ready to sell him in the summer.
