Chelsea expected signing Nkunku picks up muscle issue just days after recovering from previous injuries
Christopher Nkunku is expected to join Chelsea in the summer, so his issues at RB Leipzig are of some importance for the Blues fans - and we might have to start being worried about his injury record.
The RB Leipzig man missed three months, including France's World Cup campaign, with a knee injury before returning to the pitch last weekend. He played 21 minutes against Union Berlin and registered an assist.
However, ahead of the Champions League game against Man City on Wednesday, Leipzig head coach Marco Rose revealed that Nkunku might be out again.
"Christo could only complete part of the training today because there was some reaction (from his injury)," Rose told a press conference. "We will certainly not start with him [vs Man City].
"We will have to see if he can be with us at all but we won't be taking any risks we have a lot more matches this season."
The previous injury was the most serious in Nkunku's career as he had not missed more than a month before. Still, one has to hope that the striker does not become more injury-prone if and when he moves to Stamford Bridge.
