Captain Zinchenko 8, Martinelli 7.5: Arsenal's Player ratings in Leicester win, Leicester 0-1 Arsenal

Zinchenko: 8/10. The Ukrainian was Arsenal's captain today as the club showed solidarity with Ukraine on the first anniversary of the Russian invasion.

The No. 35 was everywhere in attack for the Gunners, overlapping on the wing one minute and helping Xhaka, Jorginho and Odegaard in the middle of the park the next, all without forfeiting his defensive responsibilities.

Trossard: 8. Scored a stunning goal that was unfortunately disallowed but did not give up and played a beautiful ball to set up Martinelli for the opener just after the interval. Very involved in the build-up, often dropped deep and kept control of the ball.

Gabriel: 8. Imperious at the back, nullifying every Leicester attacker who was daring enough to close to him.

Martinelli: 7.5. Scored a typical Gabi goal, picking up the ball in the left-centre channel, cutting inside and putting it past the goalie.

Jorginho: 7. Fantastic going forward with his brilliant defence-splitting passes but not good enough defensively. Got kicked a lot by Vardy & co. today and Leicester players were never punished.

Saka: 7. Sort of quiet today but that's because referees systematically fail him. Was brought down numerous times again but almost nothing was given as fouls; there wasn't even a VAR check when he was floored by a Leicester defender in the 32nd minute. It's disgusting how little protection he gets from the officials.

Xhaka: 6.5. A bit off-the-pace today but played his part in winning the ball backs and getting fouled when driving forward.

Nketiah: 5. Barely involved after coming on. When Trossard was on the pitch, Arsenal kept control on the ball but Eddie is much more limited in possession so his substitution, even if indirectly, contributed to the Foxes getting more control in the later stages of the game. More of an Arteta fault but Nketiah could have been more proactive.

Others: Ramsdale, Saliba, White, Odegaard 6.5; Tomiyasu, Partey N/A
