Brazil army intervenes as Luis Suarez cause huge brawl in Gremio in win over Avenida
It seems Suarez is still never far from controversy after making the move to Brazil back in December.
At the weekend, we discovered that the ever-controversial Uruguayan is still finding ways to wind up opponents - even at the age of 36!
This time, the army had to be called onto the pitch to sort out a mass brawl that came about after Suarez's quick thinking helped Gremio take the lead against Avenida on Sunday.
Catching his opposition napping, Suarez asked a teammate to take a free-kick and deliver a pass to him inside the box. The former Liverpool and Barcelona man then swiftly squared the ball to Argentine midfielder Franco Cristaldo to fire Gremio in front.
The whole thing happened so quickly that the host broadcaster didn't even capture it as it was happening.
What they did manage to broadcast live, though, was the massive smile on Suarez's face as he celebrated his quick thinking with goalscorer Cristaldo.
As you might expect, Avenida's players were furious and immediately surrounded the referee in an effort to get the goal ruled out.
Even after red cards were shown to Avenida captain Micael and later midfielder Marcao, the visiting side were still hounding the official.
With nothing seeming to calm Avenida's players down, the local army was forced to march onto the pitch armed with riot shields to help restore order.
It was a pretty bizarre scene and you can check it out below.

Gremio would go on to win the match 2-0 against their depleted opponents, thanks to a late goal from Everton.
Suarez's side retained their 100% record at the top of the Campeonato Gaúcho de Futebol, having won seven matches out of seven.
