Alejandro Garnacho attempted to hide his new blond look in Man Utd training before Antony snatched his hat

Alejandro Garnacho has a bold new look ahead of Manchester United's home match against Barcelona.

The two teams come face-to-face at Old Trafford on Thursday, with each bidding to reach the last-16 of the UEFA Europa League.

In the first leg of their play-off tie, the pair of European heavyweights played out a hugely entertaining 2-2 draw at Camp Nou.

Marcus Rashford, Marcos Alonso and Raphinha all scored at the correct end, while Jules Kounde unfortunately put the ball in his own net.

Garnacho came on as a substitute in the match and it's likely he'll be on the bench again after failing to deliver as a starter in United's 3-0 win over Leicester City last Sunday.

The Argentine starlet was hauled off at half-time when the scores were level at 0-0, so perhaps he got a bold new look to deflect attention away from his sub-par performance against the Foxes.

Although, Garnacho looked a tad embarrassed when teammate Antony exposed his freshly-dyed blonde hair to the world during a United training session.

Check out the rather humorous footage from Beanyman Sports, which is doing the rounds on social media...

Unlucky, Alejandro! Is he regretting the decision to go blonde, or was he desperate to save the reveal for match day instead? We're going with the latter, but Casemiro didn't look overly happy with his teammate either way.

Antony wasn't the first United player to try and expose Garnacho's new look.

In footage captured by MEN's Samuel Luckhurst, Luke Shaw attempted to get Garnacho's hat off during a light jog, but was unable to successfully remove the clothing item.

A world-class left-back these days - but a mediocre prankster it seems.

The camaraderie at United looks so much better than it was under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Ralf Rangnick, doesn't it? Which is just a huge positive for the club as a whole.

We will have to wait and see whether blonde Garnacho is also a force to be reckoned with, as he's enjoyed a breakthrough campaign with his natural hair.

The 18-year-old has earned a lot of Erik ten Hag's trust in 2022/23 after making some key contributions.

Garnacho has scored four goals across all competitions this season, including winners against Fulham in the Premier League and Real Sociedad in the Europa League.
