'10 seconds to deny a clear penalty': fans fuming as VAR fails to spot blatant handball in West Ham box
After the West Ham draw, Graham Potter is not the most criticised man on social media, for a change.
Referee Craig Pawson failed to spot a blatant handball by Tomas Soucek in West Ham's box in the final minutes of the game. It was apparently not even checked by VAR.
Unsurprisingly, Chelsea fans on Twitter have been unanimously fuming about the injustice.
CFCDatro: "Penalty and a red card offense. Not even checked"
Pys: "That’s an absolute joke, clear, stonewall penalty if I’ve ever seen one, only reason we haven’t won that game today."
They literally took 5 minutes to check this clear as day offside but when it comes to us… do you not see how corrupt this is? pic.twitter.com/djte98l4Om

Chelsea Illustrated: "It took VAR 10 mins to give up finding a reason not to chalk off West Ham's goal but 10 seconds to deny a clear penalty. There is an agenda against Chelsea."
Rapha3l: "That has to be the clearest penalty award not given this season or by VAR maybe ever. He actually saved that like a keeper"
Will: "That is the worst VAR decision in the history of the league. Absolutely fucking disgraceful"
Tweeds.: "Honestly, I'd be buzzing if Kepa made that save. Utterly farcical."
Futbol Chelsea: "Absolutely 100% that penalty gets given if it’s United or Liverpool. Joke of a decision from a pathetic referee."
Chels HQ: "It's time officials actually explained their decisions, in front of a TV camera. Absolutely disgraceful."
Alex Goldberg: "I don’t wanna hear anyone with a referring license giving us some malarkey explanation after the game as to why that “by the law” isn’t a handball. IT IS"
