Xavi faces backlash online after he comments on Dani Alves arrest
In the latest presser, Xavi was asked to comment on Dani Alves's arrest following sexual assault allegations.
"I'm surprised, shocked. Knowing Dani, it is not the first thing you associate him with. It's a matter of justice and the judges will decide what happens. We can't go in there. As for Dani, I feel very bad for him. Shocked. I can't say more," the Barcelona coach said.
While these comment doesn't seem that bad, many people online were angry that Xavi felt bad for Dani but not for the alleged victim.
AdolfoRH (Twitter): "Xavi Hernandez 'feels very bad' for the situation that Dani Alves is going through. As for the victim, screw her, I guess... We should've expected that."
vuthy1living: "He doesn't feel bad for the girl that Dani Alves allegedly raped, but he feels bad for Dani. You may be surprised but those statements are disgusting, to say the least."
nishhfcb (Twitter): "Bro you shouldn't be feeling bad for him unless he's proven not guilty."
dianagmz7 (Twitter): "I am surprised that you can be this horrible."
Mballester94 (Twitter): "Shameful, but not at all surprising, after saying that Saudi Arabia was an exemplary country, we cannot even expect him to empathize with the victim the next day..."
fjorbar (Twitter): "Do you feel bad for him or for the girl that he raped? Everyone who is related to football lives on a different planet and thinks that you can do whatever you want if you have enough money..."
