Why you probably haven't heard about Noni Madueke before - it has to do with his injury record

Noni Madueke is not a name many people had heard of before his links to Chelsea.

He's been at PSV for a number of years, having joined the club in 2018 and yet, not much hype has surrounded the youngster.

That is in part due to the number of games he has played and his relatively lower goal and assist return since his inclusion into the first-team.

It's now all down to him though, Madueke has had a bit of a hard time staying fit during the last couple of seasons.

Just have a look at his injury record since the start of the 2021/22 season and before:

43 games and 231 days missed since the start of 2021-22

With all of Chelsea recent injury troubles, it does beg one question. Will he spend more time speaking to the team doctor rather than Potter? Only time will tell.
