'We've had players out, that will affect any team': Potter on Chelsea's poor league position
The goalless draw against Liverpool leaves Chelsea in tenth place in the standings. The Blues are nine points behind fourth-placed Newcastle.
"Rather than worrying about what is going to happen in four / five months time, we've got to focus on the next match. We've had players out and that will affect any team," Graham Potter said after the game when asked to rate Chelsea's chances of making top four this season.
"I think the way the team stuck together through a difficult period, we kept working and trying to improve, you get to the stage that players come back and new players come into the team.
"We're happy with the performance of the team, with the energy and spirit we had. It's not easy coming here with Liverpool's quality. We take the point and move forward in a positive way."
