'We Are Suffering': Graham Potter Admits Chelsea Are In A Bad Place After 4-0 Defeat At Man City
"The results in a small space of time aren't positive," Graham Potter said in his post-match conference after Manchester City beat Chelsea 4-0.
"You can make excuses and look for reasons, or you can say that it isn't good enough and both of those answers are correct," Potter continued.
"Clearly we're suffering... and it's not nice but it's where we are at the moment."
"We can't do anything but do our jobs better and work harder. We understand the supporters' frustration but our job is to do our job.
"There are always other opinions, criticism and negativity, but that's part of the challenge."
"This is probably the worst opponent you can play when things aren't going well because they can make it look like you are not trying."
"I don't get a sense of poor attitude and I think there's support in the dressing room.
"Everyone wants to try to do better but we're going through a bad moment and in these moments, you need somebody to blame."
Chelsea could barely string passes together as they got overrun by Manchester City at the Etihad in the FA Cup third round.
This is the first time Chelsea are getting knocked out in the FA Cup third round in the last 25 years.
Chelsea are still without a win in 2023 and have lost seven of their last nine games.
