(Video) Ronaldo Lied About Al Nassr Move On Piers Morgan Show | e360hubs
Cristiano Ronaldo's infamous interview with British broadcaster Piers Morgan has not aged well.
The 37-year-old's ill-advised interview with Morgan did the Portuguese superstar more harm than good after his contract with Man United got terminated shortly after.
Since then a lot of water has passed under Ronaldo's bridge - failing to glitter at the 2022 World Cup while inking an odd yet mouthwatering deal with Al-Nassr.
Just a couple of months ago, the five-time Ballon d'Or winner assured Piers Morgan during his controversial interview that he didn't care about money, per MARCA.
He said he wanted to continue his career playing at the highest level and still play for the national team.
However, Ronaldo ended up swapping Europe for the Saudi Arabia Professional League after signing a two-year deal with Al-Nassr.
Despite contradicting himself, CR7 showed no regrets over leaving Europe for Asia at his unveiling held at Mrsool Park on Tuesday, January 3, per GOAL.
How did Ronaldo contradict himself?
"If it was just about money, you'd be in Saudi Arabia earning this king's ransom, but that's not what motivates you. You want to keep at the top," Piers Morgan intimated.
Ronaldo sharply responded: "Exactly."
