Eriksen leaves Old Trafford on crutches, Man United provide update

Christian Eriksen was spotted leaving Old Trafford on crutches after he was injured in Manchester United’s 3-1 win over Reading in the FA Cup.

“It’s always difficult to say in this moment so short after the game has finished,” Ten Hag said during his post-match press conference.

“But it’s an ankle [problem]. We have to see what is the diagnosis, so it costs us a minimum of 24 hours before we know that and then I can say more.”

The Danish  failed to shake off a knock sustained at the start of the second half, when he was scythed down by Reading forward Andy Carroll.

Eriksen was substituted for Fred who came on to score our third goal in the match, in the 57th minute. Carroll was later dismissed for two bookable offences.

United will be up against Nottingham Forest in the second leg of our Carabao Cup semi-final, at Old Trafford on Wednesday, and Erik will of course hope to have Eriksen available.
