C. Ronaldo’s Images Projected On World’s Tallest Building Ahead Of Al Nassr Debut

The fanfare surrounding Cristiano Ronaldo's move to Saudi Arabia is very much alive.

The former Manchester United striker sealed a sensational transfer switch to Al Nassr at the end of December.

His move to Asia came just weeks after his lucrative contract with the Red Devils was terminated prematurely.

Ronaldo's arrival at Al Nassr was greeted with pomp and colour as the Saudi giants accorded him a hero's welcome.

According to Marca, the veteran forward's presentation ceremony at his new club reached three billion views on 40 channels around the world.

And it appears that the excitement surrounding the transfer is yet to fade in Asia, with the striker having his images beamed onto the Burj Khalifa, the world's tallest building.

"CR7 Welcome To Arabia," a message on the projection read.

When will Ronaldo make his debut?

Despite completing his Al Nassr move earlier in January, Ronaldo has been forced to wait a little longer before making his debut for the club.

The Sun reports that the 37-year-old has been serving a two-match ban after he slapped a phone out of a 14-year-old's hands last April.

The ban saw him miss his new side's clash against Al-Ta'ee which they won 2-0.

Ronaldo is also expected to remain unavailable when Al Nassr take on Al-Shabab on Saturday.

That means the earlier the forward can make his bow in Asia on January 19 when a combined Al-Nassr and Al-Hilal XI will play Lionel Messi's Paris Saint-Germain.
