Trossard - 8, Holding, Saka - 5: Rating Arsenal players in Man City defeat
Matt Turner - 7
Turner was shaky at the start but found confidence as the game proceeded. The American's distribution was superb. He also made some crucial saves. He couldn't do much about the goal.
Rob Holding - 5
Holding had a torrid 45 minutes against Haaland. Although the Norwegian didn't find the target, Holding was a disaster waiting to happen.
Sambi Lokonga - 5
Lokonga was the flop of the second half. Replacing Partey, it was obvious that the Belgian may struggle with the pace of the game and he did.
Granit Xhaka - 7
Xhaka was a workaholic as usual. He carried the midfield burden for much of the game without his usual cohort.
Bukayo Saka - 5
Saka had perhaps his worst game this season. The usually vibrant winger was silenced by Ake.
Eddie Nketiah - 7
Although Nketiah didn't score tonight, he still put in a solid shift. He ran his socks off and never switched off.
Leandro Trossard - 8
Trossard started the game like a man on a mission. He seemed desperate to make a mark. He, however, ran out of gas in the second half.
The Others
Saliba – 6, Gabriel – 7, Partey - 7, Tierney - 5, Vieira - 5, Martinelli - 7, Zinchenko - 6
