'They Are Doing This To Hurt Me': Dani Alves Disclaims Sexual Assault Allegations

Former Barcelona player Dani Alves has addressed the sexual assault allegations against him in a recent comment for Antena 3.

"In the beginning, I want to deny it all," the Brazilian has said. (h/t Mundo Deportivo)

"It is true that I was there, with other people, enjoying my time. And those who know me, know that I like to dance. I was there dancing and enjoying myself without invading someone else's space.

"I do not know who that lady is. I have never invaded the space of anyone. How am I going to do it to a woman or a girl? No, I swear to God.

"They are doing this to hurt me, and above anyone else, my close ones. They know who I am."

As a reminder, the Catalan police have launched an investigation into the matter after a woman accused Dani Alves of inappropriately touching her at a nightclub in Barcelona on December 30.
