The Law Ronaldo And His Partner Will Break In Saudi Arabia If They Stay Together
ex-Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo and his partner Georgina Rodriguez are set to break Saudi Arabian laws.
Ronaldo, 37, has started his adventure in Arabian football after signing a two-year deal worth 175 million pounds a year with Al-Nassr.
The former Real Madrid talisman landed in Riyadh with his Spanish-Argentine lover and their five children.
However, the five-time Ballon d'Or winner and his partner's stay in Saudi Arabia may cause some disputes in the Middle East.
What law will CR7 break?
According to Marca, Ronaldo and Georgina will be breaking the law living together because they have not yet tied the knot.
Per English outlet the Express, it is illegal to live under the same roof without being married, raising expectations about how Ronaldo and Rodriguez will be treated in the situation.
However, two Saudi Arabia lawyers are of the opinion that the authorities will ignore the infraction in this case.
"Although the laws still prohibit cohabitation without a marriage contract, the authorities have started to turn a blind eye and do not prosecute anyone. Of course, these laws are used when there is a problem or a crime," one lawyer said, via the Express."The Saudi Arabian authorities today do not interfere in this matter [in the case of foreigners], but the law still prohibits cohabitation outside marriage," said the other.
