'Ridiculous and irresponsible': Fan slams Premier League as Man United forced to play 18 games in 2 months
Manchester United have been handed an insane fixture schedule this season.
While other clubs play about five-six games per month on average, the Red Devils have 18 games coming up in the next 59 days.
Hitting out at the Premier League for devising a near-impossible schedule this season, fan Adam Joseph tweeted: "United have played 8 games in the last 27 days (every 3.4 days).
"They'll now have a 3 day break before playing a confirmed run of 10 games in 32 days (3.2 days).
"That's 18 games in 59 days (3.3 days). That is ridiculous & frankly irresponsible scheduling."
This is just Erik ten Hag's first season at the club and amid issues over squad depth and quality, having to play so many games certainly doesn't help.
Players are at risk of over-exhaustion which will have an impact on our performances on the field.
