REVEALED: Everton's Abdoulaye Doucoure Was involved in Dressing Room Clash With Frank Lampard

Abdoulaye Doucoure was banned from training with Everton's first team last week following the fallout of the Goodison Park defeat to Southampton.

The Mali midfielder, who was not involved in the squad that travelled to West Ham on Saturday, was involved in a dressing room exchange with Frank Lampard immediately after the 2-1 loss against their basement rivals.

Doucoure, who has six months left on his contract at Goodison Park, is understood to have continued his row with Lampard at the club's Finch Farm training base last week and left the now-sacked Everton manager with no alternative but to take action.

Rather than being sent down to work the Under-21 squad, Doucoure had to do sessions on his own, away from the group to prevent further disruption as Lampard prepared for a pivotal fixture at West Ham - which they lost 2-0.

On Monday, Lampard was sacked by the Toffees with the Premier League club taking action in a bid to haul themselves from the relegation places.

Sportsmail understands Marcelo Bielsa is the Everton hierarchy's No 1 choice to take over.

At his press conference last week, Lampard alluded to the fact that he was unhappy with the attitude of certain players when saying: 'I had things to say because from my point of view in the position we are in, we have fight and be ready for the fight.
