Pedri 8.5, Raphinha 3: rating Barca players in Girona win

Pedri - 8.5

The youngster came in clutch again, scoring the winner and giving Barcelona the valuable 3 points. Pedri came as an early substitute for the injured Ousmane Dembele and had a positive impact on our build-up and creativity.

The midfielder also did a solid job defensively and adapted to the new role well after being shifted to a false nine role.

Jordi Alba - 7.5

The left-back was absolutely crucial to our goal tonight, assisting Pedri with a trademark pass to Pedri at the far post. Alba once again proved that he is a great offensive outlet and didn't crack under Girona's press late into the game either.

Ansu Fati - 7

Ansu's performance today is sure to divide the fans.

One camp will point at Fati creating two chances thanks to good pressing and delivering a masterful pre-assist. The other will indicate that the forward also lost multiple balls, spoiled counters and at times took too long to decide on the ball.

Jules Kounde - 5

By no means bad defensively, the Frenchman was a total letdown going forward tonight. Kounde barely had a positive contribution to our attack, overhitting his crosses, misplacing his passes and getting dispossessed too easily.

Raphinha - 3

Raphinha won the ball that launched our goal-scoring attack. Other than that, the Brazilian was a pain to watch because of his poor decisions on the ball, bad crosses and pointless shots.

Raphinha had a chance to kill the game after receiving a good ball in the box but slipped over before he could take a shot. It seems like luck wasn't on his side either.
