No Messi: Gavi Names His 2 Football Idols, One Of Them Currently Plays For PSG

"My idols have always been Iniesta and Verratti," Gavi told the media after Barca's Supercopa win against Real Madrid.

"I always try to be the same player as long as I play, leaving my soul on the pitch," the 18-year-old added.

Gavi's off-the-ball play could actually remind many of Marco Verratti who is currently Leo Messi's teammate at Paris Saint-Germain. On the ball, he is often as active as Andres Iniesta who's looking for the best way to start a dangerous attack or find the net himself.

By the way, Verratti is also one of Pep Guardiola's favourite players. In one of the pressers, the former Catalan coach said he is 'in love' with the Italian's style of play. The 30-year-old could've ended up signing for Barca several years ago.
