Nketiah 10: Arsenal player ratings in Win Against Man United

Arsenal beat United thanks to a Nketiah brace and a Saka goal. Here is how we rated the Gunners.

Nketiah: 10/10. Quite a decent performance for a back-up striker?! Superb header to level things up in the first half and a beautiful, dramatic winner late in the game. What a guy, seriously, he got through so much hate and disbelief over all these years to get to this. Legend. Apart from goals, was very helpful in pressing, his tackle on McTominay in the first half particularly stands out.

Xhaka: 8. Another brilliant performance from Granit, who was at his creative best today. Whipped in a brilliant cross for Nketiah's goal. Also excellent positioning to move into the left-back position to be able to produce that cross.

Saka: 8. His goal was a moment of pure genius from our Little Chilli, an absolute stunner of a strike. Nearly scored an identical goal later on but was denied by the post.

Odegaard: 8. Put him in a telephone box and he'll find space there. Ran rings around United players and found some beautiful solutions against the saturated United defence.

Trossard: 7.5. Who needs Mudryk now?! Leo was given around ten minutes for his debut and used his limited time really, really well. Injected pace in Arsenal's attack, recording a pre-assist (a pass before the assist) to Nketiah's winner. Very promising.

Gabriel: 7. Lost his focus early in the game, letting Bruno Fernandes get the ball inside the box and beg for a penalty after contact with Ramsdale. Picked himself up after that and held out well against the giant Wout Weghorst, who barely made a touch in the box.

Ramsdale: 6.5. A bit difficult to rate Aaron here. On one hand, he should have done better with the Rashford goal and directly caused Martinez's goal by failing to properly claim a cross. On the other hand, he made two very important stops on McTominay and Rashford.

Partey: 5.5. Was completely off his game in the first half. Gave possession away and got nutmegged, directly causing the Rashford goal. Improved a bit after the break but was still a shadow of himself.

Martinelli: 5. Too many wrong decisions on the ball. Looks generally out of form as he's been poor in recent games, too.

Tomiyasu: 4. A bit of a brainfart leading to Martinez's goal. Very poor crosses, he just couldn't beat the first man. Not a player he used to be before that calf injury.

White: 4. Schoolboy errors in passing, struggled with the Rashford threat. Taken off at half-time.

Others: Saliba, Zinchenko 6.5; Holding N/A
